KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The New Pacific Airlines Maintenance Controller is responsible for maintaining control, directs and provides technical support for Maintenance technicians while issuing direction for returning aircraft to airworthy status. The Maintenance Controller plays a key role in coordinating with various departments, including Maintenance Planning and Flight Operations, to maintain operational efficiency. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific’s Core Values include but are not limited to:
- Upholding safety by ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies, reviewing maintenance actions, and accurately logging activities in the Maintenance Control Summary.
- Demonstrating commitment through timely and effective communication with the maintenance team, scheduling corrective actions, and ensuring transparency of maintenance plans.
- Acting with integrity when addressing aircraft maintenance requirements, ensuring adherence to company manuals, federal regulations, and New Pacific policies.
- Embodying the spirit of connectedness by engaging in respectful and clear communication with internal and external departments, including Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Purchasing.
- Showing reliability through the coordination of repair intervals and continuous review of maintenance actions to support on-time operations.
More responsibilities include:
- Part of the front-line communications group with pilots and (Anchorage) Operations regarding any aircraft discrepancies during daily operation.
- Key participant in Maintenance [Planning] and Flight Ops operational calls. Coordinates with Maintenance Planning for scheduling corrective actions within the (MEL) repair intervals.
- Submits parts requisitions to Stores/Purchasing for acquiring parts for A/C under charter operation.
- Daily review using maintenance software program (Trax) for maintenance accomplished and forecasted during daily flight operations.
- Promotes and manages adherence to aircraft maintenance schedule by coordinating repair intervals with Maintenance, Maintenance Planning and Stores.
- Responsible for a Turn-Over log of activities and irregularities by way of a daily Maintenance Control Summary, with complete and accurate entries.
