Job Description:
Job Summary: The Lead Mechanic reports directly to the Production Manager. He is responsible for the performance of Component repairs, overhauls, alterations, maintenance and preventive maintenance by Repair Station personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordination of Shop schedules prior to and during the performance of all repair station functions.
- Assisting, supervising and directing all maintenance personnel in the performance of their duties so that work is accomplished on schedule and in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Repair Station procedures.
- Ensure that proper entries are made into the work orders with the applicable technical data.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Ensure that all safety procedures and precautions are observed by his personnel.
- Supervises Mechanics and Technicians
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5-year work related experience
- Prefer Airframes License
- Computer literate
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency (willingness to get it done).
- Must be highly organized, responsive and motivated.
- Must have strong follow-up and task tracking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail.
- Must speak, write and read English.
- Must speak Spanish as a second language.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires periods of sitting at desk.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.
