The vision of Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division is to be the global leader in the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems and components for aerospace/defense and industrial applications. POSITION SUMMARY:
With general guidance in a team environment, responsible for various types of inspection REQUIREMENTS, RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities may include some or all the following:
Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and certification requirements of parts. Identify defective conditions and test failures, when applicable, and prepare all appropriate documentation and certification history.
INSPECTION:
Perform detailed inspection on machined and assembled parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment to determine dimensional acceptability or rejections of parts. Perform 100 visual inspection on all machined components and assemblies to the Parker and customer drawing requirements.
Interpret specifications, drawings, charts and manuals. Use mathematics to convert drawing dimensions and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, customer and Parker drawings, work plans in Solumina, test reports, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customers requirements and military standards and test or certification procedures.
Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, special processes, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures, when applicable.
Participate in the strategic direction for lean/continuous improvement initiatives for the department.
Helps to ensure team achieves results, meets goals, and follows up promptly on action items and requests, which may include expediting any final inspections to meet customer deadlines or shipping commitments. Participate in the productivity of the team.
Assists team leaders in meeting team production results or goals and division objectives are met.
Supports an environment of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Participates with the team following quality and safety policies and procedures and maintains certification as a customer designated quality representative, when applicable.
Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Collaborates with planners, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and supervisors on projects to implement changes to reduce errors and improve throughput.
Maintains appropriate knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and utilizes this knowledge base to become proficient on new/unfamiliar assignments.
Actively participates in lean/continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Applies lean concepts and tools in work areas.
Ensures equipment calibration and preventive maintenance are maintained on all measurement equipment being utilized for inspections.
Job Requirements:
Two years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings, manufacturers specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
Ability to use and perform calibration of equipment prior to use, when applicable, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical instruments and gages. Possess working Knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. (01/22/2026)
