We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic with a comprehensive understanding of maintenance procedures and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems, and be proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, aircraft drawings, maintenance manuals, and installation manuals. This role involves building and repairing sheet metal structures to aircraft maintenance manuals or blueprints, assisting with the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft panels, and inspecting items for serviceability. You will work on Bell helicopters and Airbus, ensuring all tags are properly filled out and attached to respective parts.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow maintenance procedures and requirements.
• Work with aircraft and aircraft systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, aircraft drawings, maintenance manuals, and installation manuals.
• Build and repair sheet metal structures according to aircraft maintenance manuals or blueprints.
• Build and repair composite structures.
• Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft panels.
• Install kits and build items per drawings or manuals.
• Repair aircraft parts using sheet metal or composite materials.
• Inspect items for serviceability.
• Assist other departments as required.
• Participate in road trips as needed.
• Ensure all tags are properly filled out and attached to respective parts.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of sheet metal experience is a plus.
• Composite experience is a plus.

Work Environment

You will be working in a large hangar environment alongside 45 employees. Our team repairs and upgrades helicopters and services Metros fleet, installing full Air Medical, Law Enforcement, and VIP/Corporate kits, components, and avionics packages.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
