FLIGHT EQUIPMENT/OBOGS TECHNICIAN
I-LEVEL
TASK DESCRIPTION:
This position is located in the KAF I-Level Maintenance Activity to provide CMS regarding the installation, operation maintenance, modification and repair of KAF aircraft.
TASK REQUIREMENT:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of pilot’s flight equipment and related systems. This includes pilots flight clothing, Anti-G suit, torso harness, life preservers, oxygen masks and regulators, survival radios, helmets and associated equipment, aircraft survival kits and parachutes. Additionally, two (2) of the technicians must be proficient in the repair of OBOGS components.
- Support OJT and cross training of KAF personnel.
MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Satisfactory completion of a Military Flight Equipment School.
- A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in flight equipment maintenance.
- Proficient in the use of all associated parachute rigging support equipment.
- Familiar with technical publications and maintenance record requirements.
- Familiar with VIDS/MAFs documentation and all applicable technical publications.
- US Army, USAF, USN, USMC, Kuwaiti, Kuwaiti, Canadian and Australian Air Force experience is also applicable to these tasks.
- No security clearance is required.
