Position We are currently recruiting for Experienced & Inexperienced Aircraft Assemblers to join our team in Victoria, BC
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Study and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand assembly requirements
- Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form sheet metal components according to specifications
- Assemble sheet metal parts and components to create sub-assemblies or finished products, adhering to strict quality standards
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled components to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to aerospace industry standards
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary
- Safely handle and store sheet metal materials, ensuring proper organization and inventory control
- Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team, including engineers and machinists, to achieve seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Any technical or trades qualifications/certificates, or training would be considered an asset
- Ability to complete a criminal background check
Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of manufacturing, aerospace, warehousing or construction experience is considered an asset
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery
- Ability to interpret and understand drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety guidelines
- Must have and maintain the ability to legally work in Canada.
