What You Will Do
- Assemble a variety of electronic units using proper assembly techniques under direct supervision
- Identify correct parts, components, wires and other materials by part spanings, color codes, container labels, etc.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools (manual and power)
- Operate assembly machines under direct supervision
- Measure, mix, and apply a variety of chemicals and adhesives
- Perform measurements using basic measuring instruments
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, process instructions and engineering standards
- Utilize computer systems (e.g. work instructions, labor charging, and standards)
- Generate Non-Conforming Material (NCM) reject tags (short form)
- Check and verify per work instructions
- Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage
- Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals
- Recognize and take steps to resolve assembly/work area issues
- Follow housekeeping requirements
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed (e.g. labor charging, verification, assembly data, route card)
- Communicate and interact with others in a professional, polite and cooperative manner
- Report to work as scheduled on time
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to include but not limited to Business Ethics, Employee Code of Conduct, Work Hours & Pay Practices, and Environmental Health & Safety
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Work Environment
- You may occasionally need to provide weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs.
- In your role, you will be exposed to:
- Products of various weights and sizes
- Equipment with moving parts
- Chemicals that may emit fumes
- To minimize safety risk to you and product, you must wear static-control and personal protective equipment.
Physical Demands
- Due to the nature of our work, you will need to be able to perform the following functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements
- Bending, stooping, reaching, turning as needed to place units in test stands, pick up totes, place units on rack, etc.
- Using hands for extended periods of time to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks (e.g. grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation)
- Must be able to stand for 2 hour increments without an opportunity to sit
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Transporting product with or without product carts

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED or in the absence of a HS Diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience
