General Accountability
Reports Directly To: Leader, Supply Cell
Reports Functionally To: Vice President, Marketing & Business Development
Coordinates international and domestic shipments and makes necessary arrangements with carriers, customs brokers, and government agencies. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of logistics personnel.

Immune Specific Accountabilities
- Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.
- Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Recognizes and understands the Just Culture policy.
Specific Accountabilities
- Coordinates the daily activities of logistics staff including document preparation, shipment scheduling, and liaising with outside agencies.
- Establishes methods to meet work schedules and coordinates work activities with other departments and/or sub-contractors.
- Monitors work-in-process to ensure it conforms to company instructions, contract specifications, and export compliance regulations.
- Acts as a liaison between customers, product units, and suppliers.
- Tracks and traces shipments and communicates status to customers.
- Coordinates the shipping and receiving of company products, as applicable.
- Coordinates customs and export documents with sub-contractors (carriers, custom brokers) and government agencies, as applicable.
- Ensures equipment and work areas are maintained and in safe operating condition by scheduling repair and maintenance services.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out special projects as assigned.
Technical Requirements
- Good planning, organizational, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of related company instructions, company credit policy, and export compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of international and domestic freight systems and requirements.
- Working knowledge of PCs in the current company operating system environment.
- Licensed customs broker or specialized training in CITT, CITL, or IATA; or equivalent.
- Experience in a transportation environment.
Background Information
The typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is equivalent to high school completion or equivalent to high school completion with specialized training. The person can read text of medium difficulty requiring an understanding of basic concepts. He/she may be expected to write text intended to communicate non-technical information and, display command of spelling, grammar, punctuation and basic composition. People working at this level can be required to have certain specialized skills, and be able to comprehend somewhat complicated procedures.
Directly/indirectly related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is three to six years.
Ongoing work assignments typically have clearly defined goals. The incumbents education, training, and previous experience ensure work assignments are successfully carried out because he/she understands what is expected, as well as the best approach to take.
