The Field Service Representative (FSR) reports directly to the Lead FSR (LFSR). The FSR will perform repairs, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspections on the C-26aircraft at a bed down base or deployed site. They are responsible to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft or component that they are maintaining or inspecting. The FSR is responsible to properly document the maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspection or alterations in accordance with FAA FAR 43.9, 43.11, DA PAM 738-751 and instructions as provided by the Fixed Wing Product Management Office (FWPMO).
- Ensures that safety is paramount in all endeavors while performing maintenance, repair or inspections on the C-26 aircraft.
- Properly documents all maintenance, repair or inspection activity in accordance with the C-26 General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and instructions provided by the FWPMO.
- Ensure that all required inspection records, inspection forms, identification tags and other pertinent forms are filled out correctly prior to aircraft release.
- Adheres to all directions and instructions given by the Lead FSR.
- Keeps informed of all current instructions, procedures, methods and practices as provided by the Program Office, Maintenance and Quality department.
- Ensures that all utilized shop equipment and tools are calibrated, if applicable, and are in a serviceable and working condition.
- Breakage of tools and equipment shall be reported to the LFSR immediately for repair and/or replacement.
- Possesses or is responsible to maintain the minimum amount of tools as required performing the assigned duties.
- The minimum list of tools is provided in Section 9 of the GMM. Tools of a special nature will be provided by the company.
- Maintains tool control/FOD system to account for all tools after completion of assignment. Reference Section 9 of the GMM – Tool Control Program.
- Ensures that all manuals and other required technical data is current and kept in a clean and orderly manner and returned to their proper place when the work is completed or the shift terminates.
- Ensures the proper handling and tagging of all parts in accordance with Section 3 of the GMM.
- May be required to assist Lead FSR with inputting data into ORACLE system.
- Ensures proper installation of correct replacement parts, materials and supplies needed to perform the assigned tasks. If parts or materials are not available, informs the Lead FSR for further instructions.
- Maintains the work areas, buildings and materials which are utilized for aircraft maintenance in a safe, clean and operative condition.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Policy Manual.
- Performs other duties as required by the Lead Field Service Representative.
- Daily attendance is essential to this position.
