Job Description

We are seeking a Blackhawk Mechanic with an A&P license to perform field maintenance on helicopters for firefighting contracts. This position involves rotating between home, hangars, and worksites, with a schedule of 12 days on and 12 days off. Opportunities for additional work during off rotations are available, with accommodation provided. Transportation, meals, and lodging are covered, including travel to and from the worksite if youre not local.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance on helicopters, particularly Blackhawk models, at USFS and state fire bases in the Western US.
• Ensure aircraft are ready for operations during the firefighting season, primarily focusing on evening and early morning maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install components as necessary to maintain aircraft readiness.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements.

• At least 2 years of recent experience in UH60 maintenance within the last 3 years.
• A&P License for at least 2 years, or 1 year plus Technical Inspection (TI) orders on aircraft.
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining H-60 helicopters.

• Familiarity with USFS requirements for aircraft maintenance.
• No tools are required, but personal favorites can be brought if desired.
• Minimum of 90 days of experience maintaining aircraft in field conditions.
