Job Title: Aviation Technician
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Aviation Technician specializing in A&P for Embraer Legacy 400/450 and 600/650. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience working on Business Jet Aircraft. This role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan and turboprop powered aircraft.
- Use sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution.
- Perform operational checks and engine runs to ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
- Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals.
- Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks).
- Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.).
- Perform fuel tank sealing on aircraft as needed.
- Document all work accomplished (aka sign-off) in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
- Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
- Read and interpret maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.
- Follow, promote, and continuously improve company policies and procedures.
- Analyze a variety of mechanical problems and determine the cause and best method of repair.
- Test operation and repair/adjust, as required: engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjust rigging as required.
- Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.
- Utilize mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and calibration test equipment.
- Observe all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping rules and policies.
- Perform other duties as required by the department.
Essential Skills- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an A&P Mechanic on Embraer aircraft
- Experience with Embraer Legacy 400/450 and 600/650
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing airframe systems
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience with LearJet and Falcon aircraft
- Experience in phase maintenance and heavy maintenance

The position is based in a hangar environment that is non-climate controlled.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HOUSTON, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
