Job Description

As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and modifying aircraft parts and components, correcting any malfunctions or deficiencies with and without power applied to the aircraft. You will access and re-install aircraft components that obstruct the performance of assigned tasks and perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations

• Experience in repair and aircraft maintenance
• Knowledge of aviation maintenance and military aircraft
• Completion of 8610-2 documents
• A&P Certification (not license) with 2 years of aircraft maintenance/systems experience

• Motivated individuals looking to achieve their A&P license in a 6-week fast track program

We offer a competitive hourly rate while you are in the 6-week program. Once you achieve your license, the pay increases based on your years of experience. Additionally, candidates eligible and over 150 miles from the worksite will receive a per diem of $315 per week.

Work Environment

You will be working in a non-climate controlled environment at our facility in Wichita, KS. The work will be done in our service center where customers walk the floor. Shifts available are 1st (day) 6:42 AM - 3:12 PM, 2nd (evening) 3:42 PM – 11:12 PM, 3rd (nights) 11:12 PM - 6:42 AM, or 4th (weekends) Fri-Sun; 5 AM - 5 PM. The dress code is casual with jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
