The A&P Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as various inspections on general aviation, turbo prop, and corporate business jet aircraft including Pilatus, Citation, and King Air. Also provides line maintenance for airlines at Portland International Jetport (PWM).
- 5 to 10 years of experience as an A&P certified mechanic with a diversity of experience in maintenance of PC-12s, King Air and CJ-525s, and PT-6 turbo prop engines.
- Current A&P certification required.
- Strong background in Honeywell avionics products preferred.
- 2+ years of recent experience on Pilatus aircraft preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of all aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations and inspection procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational skills sets and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure and time constraints.
- Flexibility, as needed, to accommodate external and internal customer needs.
- Ability to independently problem solve.
- Possess excellent active listening skills.
- Ability to lift aircraft batteries, starter generators, wheel and brake assemblies, up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to pass a DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
