Aircraft Structures Technician
Location: Lunken Airport, Cincinnati
Contract Duration: 9-Month Contract to Hire
Compensation: $30 - $42/hour (Based on Experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician to join a full-service shop that handles everything from major inspections to routine maintenance on corporate aircraft. You will work alongside Avionics Technicians to fabricate racks, inlets, composite, and structural components for Garmin and Collins Avionic installations. The role involves performing aircraft modifications, sheet metal repairs, corrosion treatments, and landing gear or engine removals, all while adhering to FAA and industry-accepted practices, tooling, and approved documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform aircraft modifications, including sheet metal repairs and corrosion treatment.
- Fabricate racks, inlets, composite, and structural components for Garmin and Collins Avionic installations.
- Work alongside Avionics Technicians to ensure seamless installation and modifications.
- Perform landing gear or engine removals as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed according to the maintenance manual, service bulletin, RSM, FAA FAR, or other approved documentation.
- Demonstrate effective maintenance repair techniques using FAA and industry-accepted practices and tooling.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2+ years of structural experience in aircraft maintenance and repair.
- Experience with corporate jets is preferred.
- Airframe Licenses (A&P) are strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and industry best practices.
Work Environment:
- Located in the signature flight hangar at Lunken Airport.
- Standard work hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with overtime available.
- 9-month contract to hire position.
