Aircraft Worker - Press Room -2nd Shift (Full Time)

Operatives
Assists the Supervisor in the production of high-quality aircraft and industrial parts & subassemblies following Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions. Assists in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals.
Duties of this job are highly diverse and meant to fit the majority of fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations within the company. Duties are routine in nature and include routine set up and machine operations, sheet metal assemblies, etc.
Essential Job Functions:
Drill out, dimple, countersink, rivet and torque aircraft parts and subassemblies, including those requiring use of small, portable assembly tools.
Assemble aircraft subassembly parts and accessories using common fasteners such as rivets, nuts, bolts, washers and other hardware.
Proper use of a variety of assembly related hand tools to include electric, manual and pneumatic operated equipment.
Install various types of fasteners, hardware and rivets utilizing blueprints, specifications and a bill of material.
Accurately access, read and utilize Shop Floor Information, blueprints, specifications, work orders and SMPs.
Access, navigate and complete required PACT LMS training modules.
Maintain the departments compliance with Piper QAM/QIM and FAA requirements.
Inspect and conduct approved rework of discrepancies as necessary.
Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
Work independently or with direction from Supervisor.
Partner with senior teammates within career path to receive and share practical knowledge for proper training to perform necessary job functions and requirements in order to attain satisfactory levels of performance and production effectivity.
Adhere and maintain all departmental compliance requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned programs.
Perform duties as assigned by supervision.

High school diploma or equivalent, or successful completion of a verifiable occupational training program; or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of High School Diploma.
Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime
Use of hand and power tools as required
Follow all safety procedures
Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Adhere to Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions
Physical Demands
Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate job specific equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Other physical requirements include the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, twist, balance and reach above, out, and below.

Working Conditions
Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works primarily inside and may occasionally work outdoors. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives.
