Summary:
Perform static tests on various materials to assess properties like strength, durability, and elasticity, following approved test requests.
Prepare and fabricate samples to required sizes using wet saw and precision grinding machine.
Operate 12" wet saw for cutting composites and CNC precision grinder for dressing material specimens to exact tolerances.
Set up and operate data acquisition systems to monitor, record, and deliver customer reports as per specifications.
Maintain and confirm calibration of testing equipment, coordinating with third-party suppliers and internal departments for necessary calibrations.
Work with customer representatives, engineers, and technicians to ensure quality testing and customer satisfaction.
Adhere to safety protocols during testing, including machine safeguarding and Job Safety Analysis for non-standard tests.
Prepare and monitor specimens in environmental chambers as per customer test requests, ensuring accurate data collection.
Perform routine maintenance on test machines, environmental chambers, and associated tools.
