Job Title: Aircraft Technician
Job DescriptionThe experimental operations Mechanic will assist in supporting flight test operational activity, perform reconfiguration activity to ensure aircraft is properly fitted for each certification and experimental test activity, and perform functional test procedures to ensure mechanical systems are functioning within design parameters. The Mechanic will perform mechanical system troubleshooting to identify non-conformities and defects. Overtime and weekend work is expected.
Responsibilities
- Assist the experimental operations team to perform inspections on the aircraft as instructed through Engineering Technical Instructions.
- Participate with the team to prepare the experimental aircraft for flight by performing the daily inspection, ensuring all maintenance is complete, towing, launching, and recovering aircraft into the hangar using SOP.
- Participate in Functional Test Procedures to test systems on the ground prior to flight to ensure system functionality and flight safety.
- Perform first-of-type and prototype installations and software with engineering input and work instructions.
- Follow job cards to remove and install LRUs and components as needed.
- Work to achieve a high-performing team with a focus on maintaining a highly motivated workforce that enjoys being part of the Experimental Operations team.
