Job Title: Aircraft Structures Technician
Job DescriptionAs an Aircraft Structures Technician, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs, fabricating new parts, and carrying out inspections, repairs, services, and modifications in compliance with FAA regulations. You will work with sheet metal and composite materials, read blueprints, and ensure all tasks are documented accurately.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs, including sheet metal and composite materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints for modifications and part fabrication.
- Conduct inspections, repairs, services, and modifications according to FAA standards.
- Perform scheduled and special inspections, correct discrepancies, and service systems.
- Utilize common and diagnostic test equipment to determine malfunctions.
- Remove, inspect, assemble, and install major helicopter components and parts.
- Service all aircraft systems and support towing, parking, mooring, and storage of aircraft.
- Complete and maintain paperwork for tasks performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Provide on-the-job training for co-workers as assigned.
- Travel as required to perform maintenance and support company or customer aircraft.
- Work 4 day / 10 hr per day shifts from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM if necessary.
- Support the shop with component wrapping, unwrapping, crating, and uncrating.
- Document work performed using a computer.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces following FOD inspection criteria.
Essential Skills- 5-7 years of aviation experience.
- Experience with helicopter dynamic components is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing structural repairs.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
- Experience with sheet metal, composite materials, and helicopter structures.
- Familiarity with AS9100 regulations.
- Ability to document work performed on a computer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- No licenses required; contract employees will sign off under repair station number.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is beneficial.
- Experience with modification and fabrication of sheet metal.

Work Environment
This position operates in an FAA Part 145 Completions & Repair Facility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The role involves working a 4 day / 10 hr per day shift from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM. The facility emphasizes maintaining a clean and organized workspace and requires adherence to FOD inspection criteria.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00
