As a Sheet Metal Modification Mechanic, you will play a key role in the structural transformation of the AT-802U Sky Warden aircraft, a critical asset for U.S. Special Operations. Your primary mission will be to execute complex modifications, repairs, and component installations that enhance aircraft performance, survivability, and mission readiness.
You’ll work from detailed engineering drawings and technical manuals to install mission-specific systems, including antennas, pods, and structural reinforcements. Your craftsmanship will directly support a program focused on delivering precision ISR and strike capabilities to operators in remote and challenging environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Modify and install structural components, antennas, and pods on AT-802U Sky Warden aircraft.
- Work from engineering drawings, tech manuals, and other written instructions to perform precision structural modifications.
- Perform drill-ups, fastener installation, and structural repairs and inspections, including in confined spaces.
- Use hand and pneumatic tools to fabricate and assemble close-tolerance parts.
- Utilize company systems to document work and retrieve production data.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- 8+ years of experience with modification of aircraft structures, maintenance, and inspection.
- Deep understanding of aircraft sheet metal principles and techniques, including structural repair and component fabrication.
- Skilled in blueprint and drawing interpretation, with the ability to work independently or lead small teams.
- Familiarity with ISR platform modifications is highly desired.
- Ability to train and mentor junior technicians and support a high-performance team.
- Strong knowledge of industry quality standards, FOD procedures, and Tool Control compliance.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment 10-year Criminal Background Check, standard FAA DOT drug test, and basic health physical.
- Reliable personal transportation/vehicle required.
- Proof of US citizenship.
- Valid US Driver’s License.
