Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Aircraft Structures Mechanic- Entry Level to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our E-2D Manufacturing and Production Organization. This role will be located in Saint Augustine, Florida.
The selected candidate will perform a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers.
Essential Functions:
- Read and understand blueprints
- Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools
- Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
- Performing part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming
- Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
- May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
- Required ability to be certified for a half & full face respirator
- Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends

Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED and hobby/technical related experience in mechanical, composites, body work, electrical, or other dexterous activities.
- Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
- Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
- Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation in order to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps and stabilizers.
- E-2D experience
- Experience working on an aerospace manufacturing new production line
- Active Secret DoD Clearance last investigated within the last 5 1/2 years
- Knowledge of common tools, ability to record and understand precise measurements.
- Completion of an A&P certificate program or AFAB Program OR AFAB St

Salary Range: $33,300 - $55,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
