JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic I

Summary:
Perform structural assembly tasks in accordance with company specifications and quality standards.
This includes layout, fitting, drilling, riveting, and installation of parts and assemblies on aircraft.
Perform safe assembly, fitting, and riveting of structural components.
Use tools such as riveting guns, drills, countersinks, reamers, and shavers.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.
Ensure work meets quality standards before final inspection.
Maintain required documentation (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and fasteners.
Perform repairs and rework per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs.
Maintain a clean and safe work area; support 5S and safety initiatives.
Properly dispose of waste materials (e.g., oils, fuels, solvents).
Accurately charge time to jobs.
Communicate job status across shifts.
Assist in equipment upkeep and support Lean initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of structural assembly experience
Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to read scales and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
Good housekeeping and safety practices
Experience with composite materials preferred
Ability to work any shift and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 lbs
Must read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
