We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Silver Air. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of all aircraft operations in our Part 135 fleet and ensuring all aircraft maintenance accomplished on fleet aircraft meet the technical standards as established by the aircraft manufacturer, the Federal Aviation Administration and Silver Air. Quality Assurance Inspectors are responsible to objectively enforce proper aircraft maintenance procedures.
As an Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting audits of aircraft return to service documentation, maintenance vendor approvals and other CASS requirements as outlined by Silver Air Maintenance Procedure Manual and with all relevant regulations. This will involve reviewing and analyzing aircraft maintenance records, as well as conducting on-site inspections of aircraft maintenance vendors and even corporate aircraft.
In addition to conducting audits and inspections, you will also be responsible for identifying and addressing any potential quality or safety issues, as well as implementing and monitoring corrective actions as necessary. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the Quality Department
and ensuring department needs are addressed.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of aircraft systems and components, as well as familiarity with FAA regulations and industry best practices. You should also have excellent attention to detail, with emphasis on precision and strong problem-solving skills.
What you'll be doing:
- Review return to service type documentation for accuracy, and conformity to applicable federal
- aviation regulations and arrange for corrections as necessary.
- Verification of proper logbook entries, part certifications, RII, technical reference (AMM, STC,
- Airworthiness Directive, Service Bulletin), vendor qualification and Form 337 (ICAs & AFMS) for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with maintaining aircraft records (Airframe, Engines and Auxiliary Power Units).
- Assist with maintenance organizations approvals – to include RII personnel.
- Assist with department files/manual build out, editing, and document control.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the historical records of all aircraft, engines, and accessories operated by Silver Air.
- Travel to aircraft to assist in performing aircraft physical conformity inspections in accordance company procedures and processes.
- Perform records reviews and evaluations and prepare and submit required reports to prove FAA compliance.
- Assist in monitoring time limitations and specifications of all time and cycle-controlled inspections, replacement of parts and overhauls as contained in the aircraft’s maintenance program and other regulatory compliance documents.
- Assist in establishing inspection procedures and standards as necessary to assure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Compile data for the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Program as required.
- Assist the Chief Inspector in generating conformity packages for FAA review in accordance to established procedures.
- Review compliance of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other technical documents
- Interface with FAA inspectors as assigned.
- Perform quality department audits for aircraft, internal departmental, vendor, and FAA as required.
- Partner with Chief Inspector on special projects.
- Assist will audit and management of MEL programs.
- Perform clerical duties, including, but not limited to, mailing, filing, and preparing documents.
- Contribute to the development of inspection programs and maintenance systems, and procedures.
- Edit documents for accuracy, maintain accurate records and enters data as required.
- Collaborate with external aircraft maintenance vendor quality departments to ensure accurate and timely RTS’s as necessary.

To do well in this role, you'll need:

High school diploma. Or equivalent.

Experience in corporate aviation. Prior QA department experience preferred. 5+ years is preferred.

Part 135 and/or 121 experience. 3+ years is preferred.
- Evaluation and correction of return to service documentation
o Airworthiness Directive and Service Bulletin management and signoff requirements
o Major repair and alteration documentation evaluation
o Knowledge of aircraft equipment and airworthiness requirements
o Aircraft/Operations/ Company forms and manual build out, editing document control

A&P License. This is required.

Maintenance tracking software experience. This includes CAMP, Flight docs, CMP, etc. This is preferred.

Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) will need to be demonstrated with all levels of employees and clients. Communication must always be delivered with a superior level of professionalism.
