We are seeking an Aircraft Propeller Painter to join our team that currently lives in or around Tucson, Arizona. This position involves the layout and painting of propellers, blades, and related parts. Also, laying fiberglass, filler, and blending required on some blade models. All work is done in accordance with shop procedures, manufacturer instructions, FAA regulations and safety standards. You will also be required to work in other departments when needed. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of aircraft painting procedures, and an excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propeller painting and fiberglass work: You will assist in and learn all aspects of propeller painting. This includes the use of fillers, and laying of fiberglass per our company and manufactures procedures. You will be responsible to perform all tasks on your own after training.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all tasks using company work travelers in compliance with company procedures and FAA regulations.
Inventory control:
- Keep track of all paints, supplies, and painting equipment. Notify the appropriate department in a timely matter when paint or supplies need to be ordered or if there are equipment issues.
Work station:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area. Keep all equipment clean and in good working order.
Inspection & Testing:
- Conduct thorough incoming, work-in-progress, and outgoing inspections of parts entering and leaving the paint department.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform final quality checks on parts to ensure they meet all operational standards before being released from the paint department.
Safety Standards:
- Follow all safety protocols, ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with industry, company and FAA guidelines.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to ensure that repair timelines are met and that aircraft are returned to service on schedule.
- Assist other departments when needed.
FAA Drug Testing required:
- Must pass pre-employment and random FAA Drug and Alcohol Tests.
