- Minimum of 8 years performing as a Low Observables technician in a military environment and attainment of an US Air Force 7 level (or equivalent) is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any Special Access Program (SAP) requirements to perform in this position. Working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required.
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
- Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to make entries in aircraft logs and records and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance effort.
- The incumbent must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike.
- The incumbent must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
- Will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
- Working knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts and applications of maintenance directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Air Force supply and efficiency reporting procedures is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain the security clearance level as mandated by the government customer.
- Maintains qualifications contained on the Special Certification Roster (SCR) as directed.
- Must possess a current valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
Working Conditions:
- Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements.
- Will work in aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, or overtime shifts as required.
- May work outdoors, sometimes in hot or cold weather.
- May be exposed to contaminants.
- May be exposed to hazardous conditions, such as when standing on scaffolding or climbing ladders
- Will be exposed to loud and persistent noise
- Will be required to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety toe footwear, safety glasses, etc.
