Paragon Flight - Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Paragon Flight, a leading ab initio pilot school headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida, is experiencing rapid national growth. We're seeking an ALL-STAR Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at our headquarters in Fort Myers, Florida.
We are hiring for the Fort Myers and Punta Gorda Locations.

Engaged ownership is present daily, helping the team accomplish their goals and supporting their needs to get the job done correctly.
No set amount of experience is required, we hire the person and train the mechanic. You must be a licensed A&P in good standing, be able to pass a background check and be willing to participate in initial testing and in our random drug testing program.
We are an extremely busy flight school operating ultra modern fleet of piston aircraft (2022 and newer) from Cessna, Cirrus and Piper. We are looking for a long-term person that wants to grow with the company, be appreciated and wants to be part of a great culture.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and unscheduled inspections of piston engine airframes, identifying repair needs and maintenance issues.
- Perform repairs, modifications, and replacements of aircraft components and systems as required, focusing on piston engines and related airframe structures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in piston engine aircraft, using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Complete all required maintenance records and logbook entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality of aircraft operations.
- Stay current with the latest aircraft maintenance practices and technologies related to piston engine airframes.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior mechanics and support staff.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
- Proven experience working with piston engine aircraft and familiarity with their specific maintenance and repair issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Position Information & Benefits:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Four-day (10-hour)
- Three-day weekends
- Minimal overtime (less than 5%).
- No "on-call" responsibilities.
