The Aircraft Mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible to assigned senior/lead for accomplishing maintenance actions. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to maintenance and equipment accomplishments.
- Ensures technical data and tool control are in use on all work assignments. Ensures work area and equipment are kept clean daily and equipment is stored in proper places.
- Must be knowledgeable of section operations.
- Responsible for completion and accuracy of aircraft/equipment forms documentation and MIS input.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of documented aircraft mechanical experience (DD 214 or employment record)
- Satisfactory completion of Mechanic, Aircraft training criteria (DD 214 or employment record),
- Or one (1) year of satisfactory performance working as a Helper, Mechanic (DD 214 or employment record)
- Hold a valid FAA A and/or P license.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements as outlined Appendix E of the CBA.
