FlyTru is a well-known, established, and stable aviation company in search of an experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our growing team. Our hangar is located at DW Hooks Airport, and you will be required to work onsite. You’ll work hands-on with Learjet and Gulfstream aircraft as well as others both in our fleet and those of our clients, in a supportive and challenging environment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will focus on the maintenance activities of our company-owned and our customers’ aircrafts to identify and correct issues on malfunctioning aircraft mechanical components and systems. You will also be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties. Responsibilities
As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Learjet and Gulfstream aircraft as well as other types as needed
• Ensuring all aircraft maintenance procedures are executed in accordance with company regulations and safety standards.
• Interpreting and working from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Performing detailed documentation of all inspection findings, maintenance operations, and repair work.
• Collaborating with a team of mechanics and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex aircraft issues.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and other relevant industry standards and practices.
• Assisting in the training and development of junior mechanics and interns.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety of aircraft operations.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company standards, and safety practices.
• Support flight operations with quick, professional maintenance solutions.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on excellence and integrity

To be considered for the A&P Mechanic position, the candidate must possess the following:

• A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a strong understanding of both airframe systems and powerplant systems.
• Experience with G400, G450, G500, G550, Lear 45
• Proficiency in interpreting and working from complex engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FAR 43 and other relevant FAA regulations.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and aircraft test equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to frequently lift, carry, and position heavy objects, and to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
