The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring aircraft are maintained in accordance with FARs, ADs and manufacturer guidelines.
Essential Duties
- Contribute towards a team effort through coordinating with multiple departments to ensure a safe, efficient and profitable operation
- Seek to serve Rainier’s customers with the highest quality of customer service
- Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of aircraft in compliance with manufacturers and FAA guidelines and regulations, Rainier policies and procedures, and return aircraft to service in airworthy condition
- Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor on job progress at regular intervals, including time and material estimates for jobs
- Prepare documentation, repair and maintenance records, and other required paperwork as per appropriate regulations and procedures
- Clean and maintain work areas in an organized and acceptable condition to provide safety and a professional image
- Develop and maintain a standard for work to be completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate with customers as directed on technical issues
- Research parts needed for aircraft and complete parts request. Assure that parts are ordered in time to meet aircraft repair schedule
- Research service bulletins, service letters, and AD’s for estimates and assist in progress decisions
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
- Comply with all safety rules including but not limited to wearing and using all appropriate safety equipment
- Complete work orders and provide to Maintenance Supervisor in timely manner
- Perform duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Maintain current A&P or IA certificate
- Communicate with co-workers, management, customers and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to work on ladders, bending, stooping and lifting equipment up to 75 pounds
