STS Aviation Services is hiring Aircraft Inspectors in Melbourne, Florida. General Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors to determine daily priorities.
- Provide and document On-the-Job Training (OJT) for inspection and maintenance personnel as needed.
- Perform receiving inspections as authorized by the Chief Inspector.
- Conduct incoming and preliminary inspections.
- Perform in-progress and final inspections.
- Complete and file Shift Turnover Reports for all shifts to ensure clear communication and continuity.
- Initiate Suspect Unapproved Parts reports when required.
- Initiate Service Difficulty Reports as needed.
- Conduct in-process and internal audits.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Director of Quality and Chief Inspector.
Nature of Work
- Report directly to the Chief Inspector.
- Work in, on, and around aircraft undergoing maintenance or alteration in a hangar facility or on the ramp.
- Operate in a potentially high-stress environment.
- Some travel may be required.
Required Experience
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- FAA-certificated under 14 CFR Part 65.
- Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
- Minimum of three years of aviation inspection experience in an MRO environment working on commercial and large regional aircraft.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations and proficiency in inspection methods, techniques, and tools.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing.
