Summary:
Install aircraft parts, systems, lines, and components in accordance with specifications and blueprints, ensuring quality and conformance in a team-oriented environment.
Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structures and systems including control surfaces, cables, landing gear, engines, doors, etc.
Rig and align linkages and components per specifications.
Install systems lines, valves, ducts, and related hardware-ensuring leak-free systems.
Perform minor structural work and repairs, including cutting, fitting, and component replacement.
Use tools such as permaswage pumps, line cutters, dies, and torque wrenches to complete installations.
Ensure quality and compliance through self-checks and required documentation.
Maintain accurate logs, inspection sheets, and records.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment; support FOD and 5S programs.
Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight testing if required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., automotive, heavy equipment, etc.)
A&P license may offset the experience requirement
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Familiarity with basic hand tools and installation techniques
Solumina and SmarTeam experience preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
