The Role
Our Aircraft Component Technicians work in the overhaul, repair, modification, inspection, testing, and certification of aviation components of pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, electrical, environmental, and mechanical aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
- Tear Down and Clean components and preparation of Inspection reports after performing measurements of subcomponents/parts, tests against acceptability criteria, determining parts that require replacement, outside testing, and/or services.
- Reassembly of components according to the applicable Component Maintenance Manual or shop procedures manual and conduct the applicable inspections, tests, and functional tests.
- Reassembly of Components includes but is not limited to painting, re-surfacing, soldering, wiring, repairs, adjustments, and assembly operations.
- Verify all paperwork associated with the assembly and the traceability of parts used in the component assembly.
- Ensure that all data associated with measurements, testing, functional tests, and inspections is recorded on the work order or applicable accompanying documents.
- Participate or lead in the development of repair techniques or processes to enhance productivity.
