Advanced Mechanical Analysis Engineer job in McLeansville, North Carolina is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Maritime / Defense company. In this job as a mechanical analysis engineer for Undersea Mission Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or STEM and 5+ years of job-related experience, or master’s degree and 3+ years of experience
- Experience with ANSYS and MATLAB analysis tools,
- Experience with Shock Grade B by analysis
- Strong knowledge of material specifications and metallurgy, especially as they relate to submarines
- Knowledge of weld types (MIL-STD-22) and processes (TP-1688 and 278)
- Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools, especially Creo, to create mechanical models and drawings
