STS Line Maintenance is hiring skilled and motivated A&P Mechanics to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PHL). Position Overview
As an A&P Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing commercial aircraft to the highest standards of airworthiness and safety. Working closely with airlines, flight crews, and maintenance controllers, your contributions will ensure that aircraft are operational, safe, and ready for flight.
This position offers competitive hourly pay rates ranging from $39.00 – $49.50 per hour based on experience, with performance-based bonuses available.
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on various aircraft, including Airbus A320, Boeing 737, 767, CRJ, and Embraer 170/190 models.
- Perform inspections, tests, troubleshooting, and adjustments using technical manuals, schematics, and specialized equipment.
- Replace or repair defective components, ensuring compliance with all FAA regulations and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and adhere to safety policies.
- Collaborate with station managers, leads, and maintenance controllers to ensure seamless operations.
- Operate effectively in various weather conditions and maintain high-quality standards under minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current FAA A&P Certification with no history of infractions.
- Experience with turbine-powered aircraft and familiarity with Airbus, Boeing, CRJ, and Embraer models is highly preferred.
- Possess a complete set of standard line maintenance tools (specialty tools will be provided).
- Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications accurately.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic.
- Must pass a background check, drug and alcohol test, and obtain customs and border patrol clearance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills are essential.
- Experience with FAA Part 145 repair stations is highly desirable.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus.
