Job Description: A&P Mechanic (Level I – Senior)

Position Overview
FlyAeroguard is seeking A&P Mechanics at all levels (I, II, III, and Senior) to support our rapidly growing general aviation maintenance operations in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for experienced mechanics who take pride in high-quality workmanship and enjoy working on a diverse fleet of single- and multi-engine piston aircraft.
You will perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on training fleet aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on single-engine and multi-engine general aviation aircraft
(Piper Archer, Cherokee, Seminole; Cessna; Cirrus; Beechcraft; Mooney; Diamond Aircraft)
Conduct 50-hour, 100-hour, annuals, progressive inspections, and service bulletins
Troubleshoot and repair airframe, engine, electrical, and flight control systems
Ensure all work is completed IAW FAA Part 43 and Part 91 requirements
Document all maintenance actions accurately and completely in aircraft logbooks
Identify discrepancies, perform corrective actions, and follow proper return-to-service procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Assist with fleet AOG situations and on-call needs when required
Mentor junior mechanics (Sr-level roles) and support continuous training & improvement
Required Qualifications
Valid FAA A&P License
Experience working on general aviation aircraft from manufacturers such as:
Piper, Cessna, Cirrus, Beechcraft, Mooney, Diamond
Strong knowledge of piston engine systems and GA maintenance procedures
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins & wiring diagrams
Must pass background check & drug/alcohol testing
Preferred Qualifications
2–10+ years of general aviation maintenance experience (depending on level)
Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus
Experience in flight school or high-utilization aircraft environments
Prior experience mentoring or leading maintenance teams (Sr-level)
