East West Aircrafters is a long-established repair station that is both the Textron single engine/Caravan AFS and the Garmin Dealership covering the state of Hawaii. We service both part 23 and part 25 aircraft covering both part 91 and part 135 aircraft.
Job Summary
The Airframe and Powerplant/Avionics Technician is part of our maintenance team and they are responsible for maintaining our clients aircraft. They are responsible for aircraft maintenance and/or avionics repairs and installations, quality control and assurance. They are also responsible for continuously learning about new aircraft systems and staying abreast of new aircraft technology and regulatory changes.

Job Responsibilities
1. Aircraft Maintenance and Repairs
- Conduct scheduled inspections on airframes and powerplants to ensure compliance with the manufacturer and FAA guidelines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with aircraft components such as engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems.
- Perform in-depth repairs on aircraft engines, including the inspection of piston or turbines, and propellers.
2. Avionics Maintenance and Installations
- Conduct avionics inspections including 91.411 and 91.413 testing, RVSM certifications
- Repair of all avionics systems with a working knowledge of those avionics systems.
- Perform avionics installations using provided wiring diagrams with knowledge of industry standards on aircraft modification and cable/harness assembly.
3. Quality Control and Assurance
- Ensure aircraft systems are calibrated correctly and operating within safety parameters, including testing flight controls, fuel systems, and navigation instruments.
- Identify potential defects in the aircraft’s structure or systems and taking corrective actions to prevent future issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce the likelihood of future breakdowns or failures, ensuring aircraft reliability and minimizing downtime.
4. Continuous Learning and Maintenance Certification
- Stay up to date with the latest aircraft technologies, tools, and regulatory changes through continuous education and training.
- Maintain FAA A&P certification by meeting required training hours and adhering to FAA standards and regulations.
- Obtain additional certifications for specific aircraft models, systems, or advanced technologies to expand expertise.
