We are currently seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in San Diego, CA. The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible to their immediate supervisor for the accomplishment of all work assigned in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the Company, applicable government agencies, and the manufacturers as contained in the approved technical publications.
Responsibilities
- Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers aircraft.
- Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases, returning aircraft to service.
- Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.
- Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain full functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data.
- Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FAR’s and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented.
- Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
Essential Skills- Current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- 3+ years of line maintenance experience.
- Gen Fam A320 and A330.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights.
- Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate equipment and read technical information using visual acuity.
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals and be exposed to loud noises.
- Ability to be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
- Proficient in English reading and writing.
- Ability to pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Preferred experience on B767-200/300 aircraft types.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Customer-facing skills with the ability to work with the flight crew and interact in a professional manner.
- Independent, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision.

Work Environment
This position is based at the San Diego International Airport flightline. The work environment involves being near moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises. The role requires the ability to work in various weather conditions as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
