JOB TITLE: Toolmaker Jig and Fixture

Qualifying Questions:
Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations? Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role? Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?
Summary:
Interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings to visualize and calculate metal shapes and tolerances
Design jigs and templates to aid in tool fabrication
Measure, mark, cut, and shape metal stock to precise specifications
Set up and operate machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, milling machines, and CNC machining centers
Perform filing, grinding, and shimming to achieve smooth finishes
Fit and assemble tools and die parts accurately
Inspect finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness, and contour accuracy
Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues efficiently
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience in tool and die making
In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their applications
Excellent attention to detail and precision craftsmanship
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated team player with a proactive attitude
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
