We are looking for experienced Tool Kitting Technician who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!
As an Tool Kitting Technician you will play a critical part in preparing and assembling tool kits that support aircraft production, maintenance, and assembly operations.
Essential Functions:
- Assemble and prepare complete, accurate tool kits for various production and maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with job requirements and specifications.
- Inspect, verify, and maintain the condition of tools and equipment within the kits, ensuring they are safe, functional, and within calibration standards.
- Organize, label, and track kitted tools and components for easy identification and efficient deployment.
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and tool control teams to understand tooling requirements and adjust kits as needed.
- Support the management of tool inventory, including restocking, identifying shortages, and communicating replenishment needs.
- Assist with tool repairs, minor maintenance, and calibration tracking as required.
- Maintain accurate records in the tool tracking system, ensuring all kits are documented, tracked, and ready for deployment.
- Contribute to process improvements in kitting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team success.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical training is a plus.
- 1–2 years of experience in a tool room, warehouse, or manufacturing support role preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of aerospace tools and equipment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move items up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs.] as needed.
- Familiarity with tool tracking systems, ERP systems, and basic computer skills is a plus.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
