JOB TITLE: Tool Fabrication Inspector

Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Shift: 2nd (4:00 PM - 2:30 AM EST).

Summary:
Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated, forged, and machined parts, subassemblies, and tools.
Inspect mechanical, composite, and electro-mechanical hardware for dimensional accuracy and adherence to GD&T specifications.
Plan and set up inspection layouts, selecting appropriate equipment and materials.
Inspect complex jigs, tools, fixtures, and machine parts with multiple dimensions and compound angles.
Use CMMs, surface plates, and precision measurement tools for part and tooling inspections.
Establish reference points, verify close tolerances, and adjust setups as needed.
Conduct detailed inspections of first-piece and first-article parts.
Document inspection data electronically.
Inspect mechanical assemblies using CMMs to ensure compliance with tight tolerances.
Utilize computer systems for data access, maintenance, and input.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience with Tool Fabrication
2+ years of experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
2+ years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Safety shoes are required
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
