Job Title: Soldering Technician – Drone Manufacturing
Job Description:
Join a cutting-edge defense technology company specializing in the production of military-grade drones. As a Soldering Technician, you will be a key contributor to the precision assembly of electronic components that power our advanced unmanned aerial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-precision soldering of electronic components on PCBs and subassemblies.
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Use soldering irons, microscopes, and other tools to ensure clean, reliable joints.
- Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to verify quality and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and assembly teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in drone, cellphone, or gaming device assembly is highly desirable.
- Prior work in a cleanroom or ESD-safe environment is a plus.
- Certification in soldering or electronics assembly is a bonus.

Work Environment:
Operate in a modern, climate-controlled 5,000 sq. ft. facility in Tampa, FL. The workspace includes dedicated soldering stations, ESD-safe benches, and advanced testing equipment.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract position based in Tampa, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
