Job Summary
Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
Job Responsibilities
- Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
- Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals
- Maintain system critical data elements
- May monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping
- Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement
- Read work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
- Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
- Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other device
- Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
- Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise spans information
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two or more years experience
- WORD and EXCEL experience
- May require forklift certification
