Position Summary:
The Materials Planner is responsible for contributing to the optimization of our production processes, enhance supply chain efficiency, and play a crucial part in our commitment to delivering on time to our customers. The Materials Planner will play a key role between Sales and Production, ensuring seamless information flow and effective coordination between customer demand and production.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support Master Scheduler to meet on customer delivery, inventory and level loaded schedule.
- Responsible for master schedule or detailed production schedule attainment for assigned product categories to support manufacture of Aerospace fasteners, subassemblies or assemblies. Generate router packets according to schedule.
- Analyze requirements to optimize production flow, lead times, raw materials, lot sizes, tooling or supplies required to achieve production plan. Plan part quantities and release dates to ensure uninterrupted organization operations.
- Maintain work order integrity including quantity accuracy, splits and lot control and sizing.
- Frequent contact is required with sales, manufacturing engineering, quality and purchasing to ensure seamless work order launch
- Performs other duties as necessary or that may be assigned from time to time
Experience & Education
Required:
- Familiarity with Supply Chain metrics and MRP systems
- Ability to analyze production data and develop solutions
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team setting
- High visible energy, sense of urgency, and ownership
- Effective communication skills to teams and upper management
- Ability to manage several tasks and priorities at a time
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training
Desired:
- High school degree preferred
- Production Control/Planning experience preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience or background. Strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office user
- ERP system reporting and analytical capabilities

Schedule
Monday – Friday 7am-4pm with overtime and weekend work as directed.
