Summary:
Responsible for the planning and administration, at optimum balance of cost, quality, and supplier service of material required to support aircraft maintenance.
- Provision for Station allocation with lists of Airframe and Engine parts based on Recommended Spare Parts List (RSPL), Installed data, historic demand, and future flight plan. Ensure replenishment is completed in a timely manner.
- Understand how Boeing math model works for optimal spare calculation.
- Manage Flight Spare Kit (FSK) List. Update allocation and replenish in a timely manner.
- Review weekly Loan and Delays taken and adjust allocation accordingly.
- Provide on-demand operational reports for management review.
- Ability to read Engineering Order (EO), Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness Directives (AD) publications. Perform cost-benefit analysis with Engineering to make sure the latest technologies is applicable to the fleet with the right part number setup based on interchangeability and effectivity.
- Deactivate obsolete part numbers in the system.
- Allocate aircraft parts. Assign reorder level requisitions to stores, repairs, or technical procurement to ensure allocations are filled in a timely and the most economic manner.
- Review recommendation to allocate critical parts based on historic usage and forecasted flight pattern.
- Ability to work day/night or weekend and off-site shift schedule to support the operations as needed.
- Communicate and resolve aircraft material issues with Engineering, Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, and Quality Control.
- Ensures adherence to Approved Vendor Listing (AVL) and General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Coordinates the addition of new vendors with the Quality Assurance managers.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the leadership of Materials Management directorate.
