Job Description:

The Material Coordinator analyzes the Authorized Project Stockage Levels (APSL) and recommend revision of stockage level in support of Mission, Type, and Design Series (MDS) specific fleets.

  • Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.

  • Ensure proper logistics support is maintained and problems identified. Maintain related records, review inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material. Monitor and provide additional Supply Section Support, as required. Receive, store, and issue hand tools, tool kits, replacement parts, shop supplies and related equipment, such as measuring devices.

  • Maintain record of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment. Attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.

  • Manually load or unload freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacks, shelves, or places items in proper storage locations. Visually inspect tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Two or more years of Material Coordinator experience.

  • Two or more years in support of aviation supply.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization**NAC-I T1 Public Trust.  Note:  US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ACN (Aircraft Notebook), GCSS-Army, or equivalent US-Army supply system.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Work typically in semi-office, hanger, and/or open surroundings. 

  • May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail and are exposed to fumes or airborne particles and electrical shock hazards.  

  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

  • May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.

  • Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual starting hourly rate for this position is $25.91 per hour.

Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 80 hours of vacation accrued on your anniversary, up to 56 hours of sick leave annually (accrued weekly), and 11 paid holidays.
