Job Title: MachinistJob Description
We are seeking experienced Machinists to join our team on the 3rd shift. This full-time position involves manufacturing quality products using CNC machining centers, changing materials and tools as needed, and ensuring production efficiency and quality. The role requires proficiency in using measuring tools and the ability to operate machines independently. This is an hourly, non-exempt position, working Monday through Friday from 12am to 7am, with the option to start at 11pm to achieve 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Read and accurately interpret internal and customer-provided engineering drawings and setup documents.
- Efficiently and accurately use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Make adjustments to setups and processes as required to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Determine cutting tool needs and replace them as needed without causing product loss or damage.
- Utilize grinding and cutting tools such as air grinders, drill presses, manual mills, grinders, saws, and burr tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment using 5-S techniques and good housekeeping skills.
- Determine when to stop producing products due to quality or safety issues.
- Maintain shop loss procedures by properly documenting according to company procedures.
- Accurately clock in/out of time and shop orders using the company MRP system.
- Use adequate lifting equipment or methods to prevent personal injury.
- Maintain awareness of all safety-related MSDS information.
- Follow company procedures related to the proper extinguishing of flammable materials.
- Understand the proper use of machinery when dealing with excessive weight.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor or manager.
- Work well with others and participate in all safety training/meetings.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Essential Skills- Knowledge of CNC machining in a commercial or aerospace manufacturing facility.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of G and M codes and their functions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 3 to 5 years of CNC experience.
- Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis machining.
- Experience with MODIG machines.
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazatrol controls.
- Ability to perform setups and runs on machines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00
