Job Description
Working in a job shop and aviation back shop environment, the machinist will be utilizing hand tools and operating machinery such as a Water Jet, Manual Break Press, and basic CNC Router. The role involves fabricating sheet metal aircraft parts by cutting, bending, shaping, and forming these components.
Responsibilities
- Utilize hand tools and operate Water Jet, Manual Break Press, and CNC Router.
- Fabricate sheet metal aircraft parts through cutting, bending, shaping, and forming.
- Perform manual machining and utilize various manual machines.
- Conduct part fabrication and aircraft maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate part production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining and fabrication issues.
Job Requirements
- Experience with brake press machines, CNC Router, and Water Jet.
- Proficiency in manual machining and part fabrication.
- Familiarity with aircraft parts and maintenance.
- Expereince in aviation or aerospace is ideal but not required.
- Previous experience in a machine shop is required.
- Competency in using manual machines and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic computer skills.

Work Environment
The work will take place in a Part 145 MRO Facility, specifically in the Back Shop/Machine Shop. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with climate control available indoors. Expect to be standing and working on your feet for 8 to 10 hours a day.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $68000.00/yr.
• Medical Insurance. Employer pays 80 employee coverage.
• Optional Supplemental Insurance to include Life, Disability etc.
• Retirement / 401(k);
• Sick / personal time: Three (3) days per calendar year.
• PTO per years of service matrix; up to 40 hours available for carryover annually.
• Unused vacation is not available to cash out.
