Job Summary:
Sets up and operates a variety of CNC, NC, and conventional machines to form and fabricate aircraft parts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sets up and operates various sizes of CNC, NC, and conventional press brakes to perform a variety of metal forming and fabricating operations. Uses hand tools, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments such as a scale, protractor, and calipers.
- Makes adjustments and uses appropriate skilled judgment to obtain high quality parts per engineering specifications.
- Practices safe work habits.
- Uses material or tool moving equipment as required.
- Operates heat plate in preparing parts for forming on press brake.
- Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of area.
- Responsible for clocking own labor performance correctly.
- Responsible for quality of own work.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Requires the use of simple arithmetic, blueprints, and measuring instruments.
Experience: Requires
1-3 years of fabrication or related experience.
Working Conditions:
Typical shop conditions.
