Job Description:
Job Summary: The Logistics Expeditor is responsible for customer service, shipping and receiving of parts and is under the direct supervision of the Director of Materials and logistics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Source required repair parts.
Generate purchase orders, track the items, close and receive POs.
Issue parts to work orders.
Ensure inventory is correct through parts issuance and cycle counts.
Assist with vendor audits and vendor sourcing.
Monitor heavy usage items and manage min/max ratios.
Complete KPI’s for ISO requirements.
Create quotes.
Confirm customer requirements.
Liaise with all departments to be able to provide up to date information on work orders in progress.
Audit paperwork for parts compliance.
Maintain shelf life for calibrated tools and items with expiration dates.
Provide assistance in the parts room.
Create and close pick tickets.
Create shipping BOLs.
Coordinate sipping with customers and the wood shop.
Ship small packages.
Any other relative duties as assigned by the logistics manager or the Director of Materials and Logistics.
May be required to work the second shift as needed.
Education and Experience:
Must have a High School Diploma or an equivalent.
Must have previous experience in customer service.
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
Abilities and Skills:
Attention to detail is imperative.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be efficient with a desire to succeed.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.
