STS Technical Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our purchasing team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in purchasing and negotiating services, materials, and supplies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
• Researching and vetting potential new vendors.
• Analyzing market trends to secure the best pricing and terms.
• Ensuring the accuracy of special order items based on engineering drawings.
• Monitoring critical path items and making adjustments to meet deadlines.
• Verifying that incoming products meet company standards.
• Ensuring stock data accuracy and hands-on inventory management, including floor time.

This role will expand in scope and responsibility as the company continues to grow.

Required:

• Strong negotiation, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Hands-on experience with purchasing processes and related responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Pareto Charts for data-driven decision-making.
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification for process improvement.
• Experience with ERP systems, with a preference for Epicor.
• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
