Job Summary
The Allegheny County Airport Authority’s Arts & Culture Internship position will work to support the Experience & Design team by assisting with research, writing, data collection, and other activities. This internship is a unique opportunity to participate in a wide variety of research and planning projects, build new connections, and contribute to the development of exciting projects for the new PIT Terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Here is how the Arts & Culture Intern will help:
- Assist team with documentation of current and past art exhibitions and inventory and maintenance of digital art database.
- Organize and assist with the management related to art objects in the Airport’s current permanent and temporary art collections;
- Research and write on topics including artists, artwork, performance, and collections management;
- Provide general support for art team – attendance at staff meetings, preparation for Art Advisory meetings, many one-time tasks, including technical support, filing, meeting notes, creating unique documents, help with array of artwork selection panels, dedications, community events, art events, artwork tours and other events.
- Facilitate new arts exhibition tours as needed.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements to apply for role of Arts & Culture Intern are:
- Must currently be enrolled in school as a second year (or above) undergraduate from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Planning, Arts or related field.
- Must maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater.
